Mission in Egypt for Industrial collaboration in the leather processing chain - Cairo, 17th-19th October 2021

A mission has just ended in Cairo in which Andrea Ciulli participated, in the figure of DeltAcque, supported by Gianni Scoponi (through the new collaboration with Bin Group) and Ralph Arbeid (thanks to the confirmed collaboration with Huni Ag), with the aim of promoting technical, industrial and commercial collaboration with Egyptian companies.
The mission was organized by Cairo Office of Ice Agency in collaboration with the commercial one of the Embassy of Italy, Assomac and with the Italian Development Cooperation Agency (Aics).
The event, started with a seminar and B2B meetings between Italian operators and their potential local counterparts, ended with a visit to the "Robbiki Leather City" Industrial Park.
The leather processing chain is one of the most important industry in Egypt and represents one of the leading sectors of the Egyptian economy, both in terms of production and number of employees.
The Egyptian government, after having modernized the tanning sector, has embarked on an ambitious project for the development of the manufacture of leather products, from footwear to bags and accessories, to clothing.
The mission was organized in view of the imminent realization of the third phase of the project of the project to build one hundred factories for the finished product as part of the third phase of the Robbiki Leather City project dedicated to the manufacturing industry.
The event was enhanced by the presence of the new Italian Ambassador to Egypt, Michele Quaroni, the director of the Italian Trade Commission in Cairo, Dr. Francesco Pagnini, the director of ASSOMAC the dot. Roberto Vago and Engineer Mahmoud Mehrez President of Cairo Investment & Development.
